Once upon a time all Sandzak was an empty region and it is said that it was populated by Albanians from Shkodra who fled Shkodra after the new Venedic reign came.
I realised on my researches about my family's origin that they come from Albania. Some say Kelmend (Clement), some others say an albanian region in Selce, Croatia. It was The Vilayet of Shkodra who contained these regions.
My researches led me to Jonuz & Ago who lived in 1650-1700 in Sandzak and then Ago moved to Rozaje.
Most of Agovic still remain in Sandzak and Crna Gora.My family left Sandzak at late 18th century and returned to Shkodra. We still are in Shkodra. My dad and his generation still speak bosanski. Im sorry for writing in English 🙂
